AUS MUSIC TSHIRT DAY X GETTING AMPED
The music industry has had it tough over the past two years and it is great to see it roaring back into life. All along the Grand Pacific are a host of small bars, epic bowlos (here's looking at you Wombarra), local strongholds, theatres and international touring arena venues as well as festivals, which keeps this stretch of the south Pacific pumping like it was Seattle or Manchester.
Every month we create mixtapes of the freshest sounds dropping by bands from the Illawarra or in the many recording studios that dot the villages from Sydney to Ulladulla.
But despite this return to pool punks pogo'ing in their pumps, there is a lot of hardship past and present to address. When you have been in the live music industry for over two decades, as one of our collective had, touring with everyone from Ministry of Sound to the Prodigy and every band and DJ and festival in between, we are compelled to get involved with support.
Aus Music Tshirt Day on Friday 18th November (it was originally the 11th) is doing its thing and we will be donating 10% of all AMPED tee sales to the cause for seven days from midnight on the 11th, until midnight on the day itself. We created this particular tee for DJs and musos as well as riders and sliders, so get on it.
And while you are here do check out all the Illawarra bands we are listening to in our studio via our soundcloud.
Keep the vibe, stay AMPED
